Jeans for Men
Jeans have long been a fashion must-have for men. Jeans have been pushed to the forefront as a fashion essential for their versatility, not to mention their comfort.
Today, jeans designers are even redesigning the classic styles to provide trendy and varied looks for today’s fashion conscious man.
There are many different variations on the classic blue jean for men. Many designers have varied the look simply by using different types of washes on the denim, as well as coloured denim. One of the most popular colours of denim is the dark indigo blue. A close second would be the medium wash jeans, with a lighter shade of indigo blue.
One thing to keep in mind is that these lighter jeans may not last quite as long. Darker jeans seem to be more versatile and lend themselves to being dressed up. Men can also choose from coloured denim jeans and white denim jeans. However, most men tend to opt for more neutral coloured jeans such as black, brown and grey.
Another characteristic of today’s jeans are the wide range of fits. Much similar to the fit styles of women’s jeans, men’s trend often parallel those of women’s jeans. For instance, the popular skinny jean for women also saw a similar cut in jeans for men. Remember those baggy jean styles that women wore? This trend also was seen in men’s jeans. One popular cut of men’s jeans is the slim fit jean. These fit close to the body from the waist all the way down to the ankles.
Another variation on jean cut is the trouser jean. This is a bit more roomy and loose fitting. Relaxed fit men’s jeans are cut loose in the area from the hip to the knee. From the knee down the cut of the relaxed fit jean changes to a boot cut which falls straight down to the foot with a slight taper. Another jean cut is the loose fitting jean which hangs loose from the hips and features wide legs. These jeans are not quite as popular as they once were as jean styles are, tending to be made more in a tighter fit.
